It all begins with an idea.
The illustrated story shares the adventures of Little Green (a green tractor) and his friends - Harvey Harvester, Casey Case, Alicia Chalmers, Whitney White, Ollie Oliver, Frederick Ford. They have fun and teach a life lesson along the way. The story has been written for over 18 years by Jane Aumann and Cindy Ladage. Alton Johnson, Jr. is in his 19th year of illustrating the story.

Each issue of Little Green contains an illustrated story, a crop or livestock breed and a recipe that goes along with it, a feature article, tractor centerfold and puzzles.

It all begins with an idea.
Little Green Magazine had been published by Hain Publishing, Inc. for 17 years. At the end of 2023 they ceased publishing it. My husband, Dan, urged me to call the Hains to request permission to continue publishing the magazine for kids. They were very gracious to allow us to continue to publish the magazine with the new byline of “The Tractor Magazine For Kids.” Pictured are the pages in our first issue thanking the Hains for bringing this magazine to farm kids and enthusiasts and our bio that appeared in issue 4. We are now one year into this adventure and have learned a lot. For those of you with any questions about the magazine, feel free to ask.
